Realise your strength and weakness

Students should know which subject they find tough to understand. They must start their preparation by focusing on subjects in which they lack. They must give more time to preparing for these difficult subjects. Once they are done with the weak subject, they can start working on other subjects they feel comfortable with. This way, students can prepare for the exam and score well in all the subjects.

Making and following the timetable

Following a proper timetable for your CBSE term 2 Exam preparation allows the student to devote sufficient time to every subject. Students must prepare a timetable and should follow it daily. This will allow the students to stay focused and complete their syllabus on time.

Practice previous years’ questions and sample papers

Solving CBSE previous years’ question papers and sample papers helps students understand what questions can be asked in exams. Sometimes, many questions are asked from previous years’ questions. Practising questions from sample papers help the student understand their preparation level. Additionally, students can go online and search for good study material.

Self-study

With very little time left for the exams, students need to do self-study. Students must go through their books and work on their weak areas. While studying, there might be doubts in some questions. Make a list of all those questions and take the help of your teachers in understanding those problems.

Physical and mental fitness

Waking up early in the morning and exercising each day will help students become mentally strong. They will feel more energy the entire day, and it will help them study for long hours. Students should take proper diet as it will help them stay strong. Sufficient sleep is also required to stay fresh and motivated. To rise early in the morning, students should not sleep late.

Don’t compare yourself with others

Every student is different. Some students understand the concepts faster, while others might require more time to understand the same concepts. Students should not compare themselves with other students. Every student has their strengths and weaknesses. Students should understand what works for them and study accordingly.

Take proper brakes

After every study session, students should take 10-15 minutes breaks. Break time can be utilised by walking or listening to music. Taking breaks during study helps students relax and refresh themselves. It also increases their productivity and helps them stay focused. Please ensure to not use social media during your break time as it will distract you from your studies.

Make proper notes

Making notes helps students understand the concepts better. Writing down important points helps students in quick revision. Instead of going through books, students can refer to their notes. This will help them save time and score well in exams. Notes should cover all the important points.

Refer best books and study material

For CBSE board exams, students need to follow NCERT solutions as the board question paper is prepared from the topics of NCERT books. Additionally, students can take the help of other good books available in the market to help them practise more questions. The more questions students practise, the better it will be for them.

Know the syllabus

Students should know their entire CBSE exam syllabus. Understanding the syllabus will help students know what topics have to be covered for the exams. In this way, students can keep track of their preparation and stay motivated. Students should focus on completing their syllabus as soon as possible to have enough time for revision.

Revision

It is important to revise daily whatever topics students have covered in a day. This will help them remember and understand the concepts in a better way. Revision is an important aspect of study and should not be ignored by students. Students should start their day by revising whatever they did the previous day. No topics should be covered without revising the previous topics. This will ensure your hard work does not go to waste and you remember everything.

Don’t waste time on social media

Social media is one of the biggest distractions nowadays. Students should stay away from social media. Spending time on social media will waste your time. Instead, spend your time reading motivational articles or watching inspirational videos.

National Digital Library of India

After completing the syllabus, students can refer to the study material available on the National Digital Library of India. Due to COVID-19, it is not possible to go to the library. So students can learn digitally on the National Digital Library of India, which has especially been developed for class 10 and 12 students. Students will find high-quality notes, question papers, video lectures, etc.

The night before the exam

Students feel a lot of pressure on the last day. It is recommended not to study during the night before the exam. Instead, students should take proper rest to feel refreshed on the day of the exam. Students should collect all the documents needed for the exam. They must calm their nerves and motivate themselves. The student should believe in their hard work and go to the exam positively.

While attempting the paper

Utilise the first 15 minutes wisely and go through the question paper. Do not panic if you don’t know the answers to a few questions. Try to attempt questions that have higher weightage first. These questions require long answers and may take some time. Short answer questions can be attempted later. Don’t rush through your answers. Take your time and answer all the questions properly. Check your answers once you have completed the paper.

Handwriting and presentation

Marks are given to the answers you write in your exam. So it’s important that whatever we write is easy to read and understand. Students should ensure that their answer sheet looks neat and clean. Highlight the important points in your answers. Try to draw diagrams wherever required.

Conclusion

As the CBSE Term 2 board’s exams are approaching, students need to stay focused. Students should make efforts and prepare to the best of their ability. These exams will not happen again in their life, so they should not leave any stone unturned. Students should make efforts and not worry about the outcome of the exams. It is important to stay motivated to perform well in your exams. Make proper use of the available time as this time will never come back.
