If you are aiming to crack any of the challenging and competitive exams like JEE, you will have to  hit it or quit it approach. That is the only way to go about it. You will have to realise at the beginning itself that the path is not going to be easy and you will have to find ways to tackle barriers that they become your stepping stones to success. In addition, you must dig deep in every subject to cover everything. Yes, everything!

exam tips

Here are tips that will help you rock the upcoming exams. Take a look!

1. Leave the Tension Behind

Remember, preparing for anything with a tensed mind is no good. Keep all the tension away and for now, focus only on the preparation. With the pressure of result always in your mind, you will automatically start feeling less motivated and more worried. To overcome anxiety, remind yourself regularly of the things you have achieved so far to keep the motivation level up, always. Stay confident, stay happy and you will surely score the desired grades.

2. Tune Your Mind and Body

One of the most important things to do is to tune your mind and body. Start following the schedule that you will follow on the day of the examination to make your body and mind habitual to it. From sleeping at the right time to waking up at the exact time, make sure you replicate everything. However, you can indeed take a break from this habit when the situation arises, but it is advisable not to get disconnected entirely from this routine.

3. Read, Write and Recollect

Reading out loudly will improve your retention than just reading it. Writing down the essential points or facts will help in retention and will be useful while studying for the upcoming exams. Recollecting is the ability to retain any information after reading and writing. It is said, ‘Practice makes a man perfect’, therefore, rehearsing information till you master a concept is essential. Rehearsal improves your memory, and the information gets etched in your long-term memory.

4. Take Help from Sample Papers

Never ignore the importance of CBSE sample papers. They help you understand the pattern of questions and the difficulty level while judging your preparation progress. Make a habit of solving at least one sample paper every day to keep testing your knowledge and preparation progress. CBSE sample papers make you aware of the syllabus, help you get acquainted with the test, give you a clear idea about the length and difficulty level of the exam and aid you in crafting your techniques and strategies.

5. Be Confident, Not Overconfident

It is good to have a confident approach when preparing for any competitive exam. However, becoming overconfident about your preparation can negatively impact your performance. The perception that you can skip chapters, whether you know them or not, is entirely wrong and will reflect in your entrance examination. Everything holds equal importance, and you do not know how and from where the question can be asked. So, make sure you cover everything and that too on time so that you have ample time in hand to revise and solve CBSE sample papers.

To Sum It Up!

So, now that you know the five golden rules of rocking the exams make sure you use these rules well. Also, when you have covered the entire syllabus, the best way to check your speed and accuracy is by solving sample papers and taking up mock tests. For a fruitful result, remember what all is mentioned above. All the best!
