    Monday, June 15, 2015

Nearly a month after AIPMT was conducted on 3rd May, the Supreme Court declared the exam void and called for a retest in four weeks’ time. More than 6.25 lakh students had attempted to crack AIPMT this year. The results were expected on June 5, but a petition filed in the Supreme Court by a batch of students and parents seeking re-examination meant that the declaration was stayed.

While this news is frustrating and de-motivating, it also brings an opportunity to rework on the mistakes that you made during AIPMT 2015.

Here are 5 reasons why taking the AIPMT re-test is not a bad idea:

    1. Huge victory for students

Now that the exam has been cancelled, you can be rest assured that cheaters do not make it to the top. It is now in your hands to make sure that all the effort and time you put in will be fruitful.

    2. Rectify your mistakes

Another reason why the retest could be helpful is because you have another opportunity to recollect those silly mistakes you’ve done last time and rectify those in this exam.

    3. Focus on your weak areas

If you did not have enough time to cover all concepts last time, grab the opportunity this time to focus on your weak areas and improvise on those that you were not so confident about.

    4. Better Time management

Try and recollect the pattern of questions that were asked in the paper and accordingly time yourself while preparing and taking mock tests. Also, during the exam plan the amount of time you will be spending on different kinds of questions.

    5. You can do better, much better

Last but not the least, since you have already given the actual exam once and you know the kind of stress and anxiety that you go through during the exam, be better prepared this time and stay confident until the very end.
