The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for applying to the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) in June 2024. Candidates can now submit their UGC NET applications until May 19, 2024, via the official website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The deadline for paying the application fee has also been extended to May 20, 2024.
The UGC NET June 2024 examination is scheduled for June 18, 2024. It will assess candidates for three categories: the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor, appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programs in Indian universities and colleges.

Originally, the application deadline was May 10, which was later extended to May 15 before the current extension. Additionally, the NTA has updated the dates for the application correction window for UGC NET June 2024. Candidates can make corrections to their applications from May 21 to May 23, 2024. During this period, they can update personal details, academic qualifications, exam city preferences, and upload scanned photos.
