According to the NIRF ranking system of 2022, SMVDU stands 101 for engineering and falls under the Top 20 Architecture schools in India Rankings. Currently, SMVDU provides its students, various courses for B.Tech, B.Arch, B.A, M.A, M.Sc., M.Tech, MBA and doctoral levels. The university’s Faculty of Management has two key departments: the School of Business as well as the School of Economics. For B.Tech programmes, admissions will be based only on CUET UG or JEE Main scorecard for eligible candidates. To get admission in B.Arch, candidates should have to appear for JEE Main or NATA, after the scores of which they have to opt for counselling through SMVDU or JOSAA/CSAB. For admission into MBA, aspiration CAT scores are considered. For five years Integrated B.Sc. & M.Sc., the applicant should have cleared 10+2 examination. In order to join the MSc, MA and MTech programmes one must have passed their graduation along with the qualifying tests like JUET for MSc/MA and GATE for MTech.

The University of SMVDU is situated in Katra and it has its own Training and Placement Cell which offers extensive support for students getting perfect placement with extra ordinary organizations. In pre-placement talks, the cell helps the recruiters with tests and interviews and additional services to the campus facilities. The 2020 placement drive saw 23 recruiters, which is the maximum number in the recent years. More than 150 of our students got placed in some of the leading companies like Infosys, TCS, ICICI Prudential, Wipro, ICICI Bank, Ericsson Global and EZMATA Technologies., with Infosys extending the maximum number of placements.

• JEE Main AIR (CRL) upto 30,000 : The scholarship would cover full tuition fee for the entire student for their enrolled first five semesters
• JEE Main AIR (CRL) between 50,000 and 1,00,000 : Such scholarships would be covering full fees paid as tuition for the first 3 semesters of college education for such scholars.

For MBA:

• MAT/CMAT score above 90%: Free full tuition fee for the first year and fifty percent tuition fee discount for the second year.
• MAT/CMAT score between 85% and 90% : 50% of tuition fee is waived off for the 1st year.
• MAT/CMAT score between 80% and 85% : First year full waiver of the tuition fee at the rate of 50%.

For BArch:

• JEE (Main) Paper-II AIR (CRL) up to 500: Able to pay full tuition fee for the first next five(5) semesters.
• JEE (Main) Paper-II AIR (CRL) between 500 and 1,500: A total of partial tuition fee exemption RECP TNC INRM 100- Full tuition fee for two years which will cover four semesters only.
• JEE (Main) Paper-II AIR (CRL) between 1,500 and 3,000: Scholarship of fifty percent for the tuition fee for next three semesters
