    NEET UG 2024: Tips to Ace Organic Chemistry

    NEET-UG 2023: Exam Overview

    • NEET-UG 2023 exam will be conducted on 07th May 2023 in offline pen & paper mode
    • The NEET-UG has 4 subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology
    • There will be 2 sections in each subject consisting of 35 questions in Section A (all the questions will be compulsory) and 15 questions in Section B (out of which 5 were optional).
    • There will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions, 50 per subject. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. Zero marks will be awarded for each unattempted question.
    • The total duration of the NEET 2022 Exam will be 3 hours 20 minutes (200 minutes)

    Physics

    The Physics section in the NEET-UG 2022 was easy to moderate in level. Physics had 23 easy, 21 medium, and 6 difficult questions.

    • The Difficulty level of the exam was Easy to Moderate.
    • Numerical dominated the paper with 60% which is mildly less compared to the previous year.
    • One Question in Physics based on the photoelectric effect had controversial language making it tricky for students to answer.
    • There were a few tricky questions from the chapter Oscillations and most of the tricky questions were present in Section B.
    • Overall, most of the questions asked in the physics section were from NCERT.

    Chemistry had moderate to difficult levels of questions. Chemistry had 24 medium and 15 easy & 11 difficult questions.

    • The Difficulty Level of the exam was Easy to Moderate.
    • Most of the questions were based on NCERT statements, facts, and their tables.
    • Statements are directly copied from NCERT without any changes.
    • The Question paper consisted of theory-based questions.
    • In this section, there was one question that had a typo error.

    Botany had a moderate to the difficult level of questions. It had 19 medium, 26 easy & 5 difficult questions.

    • The difficulty level of the paper was moderate to difficult.
    • There were a few questions in this section that were tricky and difficult.
    • Most of the questions were NCERT Based.
    • Most of the questions were factual in nature with a few concept-based questions.
    • This section had two questions belonging to Living World and Anatomy of Flowering Plants that were incorrect.
    • Overall, the paper was quite lengthy as most of the questions were long statement based.

    • The difficulty level of the exam was moderate but the exam was lengthy.
    • Most of the questions were from NCERT but there were a few questions that required deep understanding of the concepts.
    • Chapters from Biotechnology have dominated strongly with 8 questions based on it.
