The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2023 on May 07. The exam was conducted in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM. Since the exam is over, the testing agency is likely to release the provisional answer key on the official website at neet.nta.nic.in anytime soon.
NEET 2023 Answer Key: Marking Scheme
- Four marks (+4) will be granted for every correct answer
- (-1) 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect option
- No mark will be granted for every unanswered question
- If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
- If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
- If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4).

UG 2023 Answer Key: How to Calculate Your Scores?
Based on the unofficial answer key released candidates can calculate their NEET score as follows:
- Multiply your correct answers by four and record them
- Multiply your incorrect answers by one and record them
The final NEET 2023 score can be calculated as follows:
Formula to calculate NEET 2023 score = [4*(Number of Correct Responses)] – [1*(Number of Incorrect Responses)]
About NEET Exam 2023
NEET-UG is a single entrance test for admissions to MBBS and BDS colleges across India. NEET UG 2023 was conducted in pen and paper mode on 7 May 2023 in 13 languages. The question paper had a total of 200 questions in MCQ format, out of which a candidate had to answer 180 questions. Each question carries 4 marks. Thus, the maximum mark for the paper is 720. The questions are based on the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from classes 11 and 12.
