NIT Mizoram History and Establishment

NIT Mizoram was established in 2010, when it was established under the NIT Act. It is amongst the newer NITs that were established to make technical education more widespread and accessible in India, and especially in the northeastern states. First of all, the candidate should apply by sitting for the examination in JEE Main, which the National Testing Agency, or NTA, conducts. Those who wish to enroll at NIT Mizoram would have to have already successfully completed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsorily required subjects, and then appear and have a rank that gets one selected for counseling via the Joint Seat Allocation Authority in JoSAA. Candidates can choose their desired branch during JoSAA counseling according to their rank in JEE Main.

M.Tech Admission

In order to qualify for admission in the M.Tech program, one needs to pass the GATE. This is to say, eligibility for a valid score at GATE is essential. One also needs to possess a bachelor’s degree from the engineering discipline related to the application. 

As and when GATE scores come, the selected candidates on that basis will be required to appear in   from which they may choose the specific specializations according to the rank acquired.
