NTA Set to Close the JEE Mains 2025 Answer Key Challenge Window Today, i.e 6th February 2025
JEE Mains 2025 Answer Key Challenge Window: The National Testing Agency, NTA, will close the window for objections on the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 provisional answer key today, February 6, 2025. Candidates who have appeared in the examinations and want to raise objections related to the answer key must do so before the deadline given. Objections are allowed online at the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The student should check on their recorded answers as well as the official key that has been issued to know any wrong answers after the due date, since the NTA will not consider further challenges.
Procedure to Challenge the JEE Main 2025 Provisional Answer Key
These are the steps the candidates can take to submit their objections:
- Go to the website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Log in: enter your application number, date of birth, and security pin
- Access answer key: Click on the answer key link and see the questions
- Select question: Select the question you wish to challenge and provide the correct option
- Attach valid evidence: Attach any valid evidence supporting your challenge.
- Pay the fee: Pay the online fee of Rs 200 for each question payable through the fee payment portal. Submit objection: Verify all information and click submit.
Objections submitted via this portal, successfully paid, will only be considered for processing by NTA.

Details of JEE Main 2025 Exam
The JEE Main Session 1 for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) was conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2025, across multiple shifts. The exam timings were divided into two slots:
- Slot 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Slot 2: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Paper 2, which is for BArch/BPlanning candidates, was held on January 30, 2025.
Expected Result Announcement and Next Steps
The results for the NTA JEE Main Session 1 will be announced by February 12, 2025. Once objections are dealt with, the final answer key will be published that will be used to calculate scores.
Candidates must note that the JEE Main examination is conducted in two sessions, and students can appear in one or both sessions. The higher score will be considered for the final ranking.
Registration for JEE Main Session 2 Exam
Candidates who failed to appear for JEE Main Session 1 or want to improve their score can appear for Session 2. The online application window is currently open at the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in and closes on February 24, 2025. Candidates are requested to complete the registration process by the deadline.
Registration by candidates includes submission of personal information, academic data, choice of exam centre, and payment of the application fee. In Session 2, students would get a golden opportunity to upgrade their scores, thereby bettering their overall rank for getting admitted into top engineering colleges across the country.
