Mandatory Action Required
Candidates facing the photo mismatch issue must upload a verified identity certificate by
January 15, 2026
Failing to do so may lead to difficulties in downloading the admit card.
This step has been introduced to ensure smooth verification and prevent identity-related discrepancies during the exam.
Why Did This Issue Occur?
During registration, some students:
Used Non-Aadhaar ID Proof OR
Their live captured photo did not match UIDAI records
To resolve this, NTA has asked such students to submit a signed verification certificate along with a recent photograph.
Who Can Sign the Verification Certificate?
Earlier only School/College Heads could sign.
Now NTA has expanded the authority list.
Students can get the form attested by:
School/College Principal or Headmaster
OR
Class-I Gazetted Officer, such as
• Tehsildar
• SDM
• DM
• Revenue Officer
• Indian Embassy Official (for NRI candidates)
This revision helps students who earlier faced difficulty accessing authorities.
