The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has commenced the application process for the 2024 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) supplementary exams. Students who were either absent or failed are eligible to apply through the official website, gsebeservice.com.
Students marked as ‘needs improvement’ in the 2024 Gujarat Class 10 mark sheet can retake one to three subjects in the supplementary exams. The deadline for submitting the application form for the compartment exam is May 22, 5 pm.
Schools must apply for the 2024 supplementary examination online via the board’s website, gseb.org. Fees for the compartment exams are waived for girl students and those in the PwD category.
How to Apply for Gujarat Board SSC Supplementary Exam 2024?
The students who failed to score qualifying marks in one or two subjects can still save their academic year by applying for the GSEB Compartment Exams 2024. The application form for these exams needs to be submitted by the respective schools along with application fees. Failing students must contact their school authorities regarding the submission of the compartment exam application form within the specified time.

The board announced that students who failed in standard mathematics could switch to basic mathematics when applying for the GSEB SSC compartment exam 2024.
Students who passed the Gujarat board Class 10 exams in March 2024 with basic mathematics (18) and wish to join Class 11 group A or group AB science streams can apply for standard mathematics (12) through their current school.
The overall pass percentage in the GSEB Class 10 results last year was 64.62%. This year, there has been a significant improvement. A total of 1,389 schools achieved a 100% pass rate, compared to 272 in 2023 and 292 in 2022. Only 264 schools recorded results below 30%, a marked improvement from last year’s 1,084 schools, which was an increase from 1,007 in 2022.
Among the 33 districts, Gandhinagar had the highest pass rate at 87.22%, while Porbandar had the lowest at 74.57%.
