The 2025 exam was conducted on Jan 17, 2026, in CBT mode. The FMGE December 2025 result was released earlier on January 29, 2026, in PDF format. The result PDF showed the roll numbers of qualified and non-qualified candidates. The scorecard provides detailed, individual marks. It is accessible through the candidate login. As per NBEMS, the scorecards will be available for download for 6 months from the date of issue.
Talking about the results, they show a slight improvement, but the overall picture remains concerning. More than three out of four candidates failed to clear the screening test required for medical registration in India.
FMGE December 2025: Key Result Highlights
- Total registered candidates: 43,933

Despite marginal progress, most foreign medical graduates were unable to meet the qualifying criteria.
Pass Percentage Improves, But Stays Below 25%
The FMGE December 2025 pass percentage rose to 23.37%, compared to 18.61% in the June 2025 session. That’s an improvement of 4.76%.
However, the qualifying rate remains below 25%. This highlights the difficulty level of the exam and gaps in preparation.
Answer Key Corrections Made
NBEMS clarified that:
- One question in the exam was technically incorrect
- Another question had two correct answers
Marks were awarded to all candidates accordingly. Even after these corrections, the overall pass percentage did not cross 25%.
