The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a directive to postgraduate medical colleges and institutes offering PG programs, mandating the submission of comprehensive information regarding students enrolled in Postgraduate programs, both in broad and super specialty fields, for the academic session 2023-24. The portal for submitting this student data will remain accessible until October 28, 2023.
Additionally, the NMC has emphasized that medical colleges must ensure that the admission of PG medical students complies with various parameters, which include adherence to the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG), compliance with sanctioned seat capacity, the selection process for candidates, cutoff date adherence, and the timely disbursement of stipends.
PG medical colleges are therefore required to furnish the following details regarding students admitted during the 2023-24 academic session:
- Course name
- Sanctioned intake capacity
- Date of admission
- Name of student with registration number and with which state medical council
- Category of the students
- Gender
- NEET PG percentile, AIR, state rank
- Details of stipend
- Name of PG teacher under whom the student is admitted
In an effort to provide support to PG medical colleges facing difficulties with accessing the NMC website, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has established a dedicated helpdesk. For any challenges encountered, PG medical colleges can reach out for assistance by sending an email to support.pgmonitoring@nmc.org.in. The NMC assures a response within two working days to address and resolve any queries or issues, as stated by the Commission.
