The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the supplementary date sheet for Class 10th and Class 12th exams. According to the timetable, the CBSE Class 10 Supplementary Exam 2024 will be held from July 15, 2024, to July 22, 2024. For Class 12, there will be a single supplementary exam day on July 15, 2024. Exam times vary by subject, with some scheduled from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and others from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Students can access the tentative date sheet on the official website, cbse.gov.in.
Important Instructions and Eligibility
Previously, CBSE instructed schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2024 supplementary exams via the Pariksha Sangam portal. Only students whose names are submitted online are eligible to take the supplemental exams.
In line with the board’s announcement, “This tentative date sheet has been published to assist students in selecting the subjects for which they want to appear in the supplementary examinations 2024 for performance improvement.” The final date sheet will be released following the last deadline for submitting LOC.
Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Supplementary Exam 2024
Class 10th:
- Regular students designated as COMPARTMENT in the 2024 Board Exams are eligible to apply for one or two of the subjects they were marked in.
- Regular students who passed six or seven subjects but need to replace a subject can take exams in the subjects available for performance improvement, provided they have a valid subject combination.
- Regular students who passed the 2024 Board Exams can take up to two subjects under the Improvement of Performance category, contingent on the subjects being a valid combination as per the date sheet.
Class 12th:
- Regular students designated as COMPARTMENT in one subject in the 2024 Board Exams can apply for that subject.
- Regular students with a COMPARTMENT in two out of six subjects can apply for one of those subjects.
- Regular students who passed the 2024 Board Exams but failed one subject can appear for that subject under the Improvement of Performance category, provided it is included in the exam schedule.
- Regular students who passed the 2024 Board Exams can take any subject under the Improvement of Performance category, contingent on the subjects being scheduled for examination.

Steps to Download Admit Card for CBSE Class 10th and 12th Supplementary Exam 2024
For Regular Candidates:
- Visit the official CBSE website: cbse.gov.in.
- Navigate to the Schools tab after selecting the Pariksha Sangam tab.
- Click on exam activities, then the link to the center’s materials and the compartment LOC admit card.
- Sign in with your ID and password.
- Click the link to download your admit card.
- Your admit card will appear on the screen. Download it.
- Print the admit card to bring on the exam day.
For Private Candidates:
- Visit CBSEit.in/CBSE/web/comptt/default.aspx.
- Click the admit card link.
- In the new window, click “Download the admit card.”
- Enter your application number, ID, password, and other required details.
- Click the “Submit” tab. Your admit card will appear in the next window.
- Click the “Download” tab and print the admit card to bring on exam day.
