Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice for the online submission of a list of candidates (LOC) by schools for Classes 10 and 12. The submission of LOC for Class 10 and 12 supplementary exams will start from June 1, 2023, on the official website – parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in.
The online submission is for the compartment (1st chance), performance improvement, improvement in performance in up to 2 subjects in Class 10 and two subjects in Class 12, and compartment (3rd chance) students can appear as private candidates.
Students will get a maximum of three chances to pass an examination if the students have been placed in the compartment category. All the schools in India have to pay a sum of Rs. 300 per subject while schools in Nepal and outside India have to pay Rs.1000 and Rs. 2000 respectively from June 1 to 15, 2023. All those candidates who pay between June 16 to 17 will have to pay a late fee of Rs. 2000.
Regular students of class 12 who appeared in board exams 2023 and declared as a compartment are eligible to apply only in one subject whereas, for Class 10, students declared as a compartment can apply in one or two subjects.
Apart from the LOC submissions, CBSE has stated that supplementary examinations for Class 12 will be held on July 17, 2023, and supplementary exams for Class 10 will start on July 17, 2023.
