Birla Institute of Technology Deoghar is an affiliated college of Birla Institute of Technology and the Jharkhand based premier educational institution which started its journey in the October 2007 The BIT is an outcome of MOU signed between Government of Jharkhand & BIT with an aim to produce intellectual prodigies in the State.

The institute consists of Undergraduate programs in Engineering Computer Application and Business Administration for which admission is provided by the college itself on the basis of marks in the last conducted examination and performance in entrance examination JEE Main. BIT students are placed in reputed organizations and the college placement c is 83% and above, and many more are under process.

BIT Deoghar Admission

The admission procedure of BIT Deoghar is both online and offline and the process is meant to begin ideally after JEE Main Results announced by NTA. It should also be mentioned that 50% of all the seats are strictly for Jharkhand students and the other 50% of all the corresponding courses are for other state’s students. • Submit relevant documents, and finally, the application fee is required to be deposited.
• Then the student’s application is reviewed and documents examined by the college admitting officials and the last admission list is published.

Note: Student can also download the application form, complete the part and mail or post the application form along with the rest necessary documents and application fee to college. The application fee for General and OBC candidates is INR 2500/- while for SC and ST candidates the fee is INR 1500/-.

BIT Deoghar Placement

BIT Deoghar has separate training & placement cells: Main T&P Cell and cell T& P Memu-107 K.K.Hal,＠ All efforts are made by both these cells to ensure that the candidates get selected in appropriate companies and in right profile. Also, the T&P Cell has all the ultra modern facilities in the form of a Seminar hall, group discussion and personal interview rooms, pick and drop facilities for recruiters and fully furnished and LAN connected guest rooms.

Besides these, T&P Cell also organise placement oriented training sessions to develop the personality and other skills required in the job market, career counseling to help the students find out better jobs that may suit them in the future, industrial interface meetings to brief the students about the corporate world, structure, culture, trends and advancements, interviews, group discussions and many other essential activities in consultation with professionals and trainers.

• Central Library: The BIT Deoghar has set up an incredible Athenaeum to facilitate and support students and faculty for their teaching-learning research and developmental activities and projects. Our college Library contains more than 26000+ Text and Reference Books, 37 Journals and the college has subscribed many e-journals as per AICTE norms for e-journals and the entire library operations are automated by using software LIBSYS. Finally, the xerox facility is also provided at the library.

Festivals like Utthaan the techno cultural fest which is in existence from last 3 years and innovative events, mind-blowing professional shows and glamorous lifestyle events come under the BIT banner. Besides this festival, there is another festival call Aagaaz which was started in 2017 and held annually by this college with an aim of exploring hidden talents of the students. Activities concerning music, dancing and spoken drama are performed in Aagaaz.
