1800-102-2727The chapter begins with a farmer who is shown to live in a village with his wife and a newborn baby. One day the farmer told his wife that he wished to have a pet as a companion for his son so that he may not feel alone and all by himself and his wife agreed to the idea and brought a baby mongoose with him the very next day. One fine day the farmer's wife went to the market to buy groceries leaving their son and the mongoose all by themselves in the house, and at that time, even the farmer was also in the field so no one could come home. When she came back, she saw blood on the mouth and paws of the mongoose, and she immediately thought that the mongoose had killed their baby. So, she killed the mongoose in revenge only to realise that her baby was fast asleep, and a black snake was lying dead. She understood that the mongoose had killed the snake to save her son. The farmer's wife was quick to judge and repented her actions and taught us that we should not be quick to judge anybody without knowing the full story.
