Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2023

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test commonly known as MHT CET 2023 is an entrance examination for admission to professional courses in engineering, pharmacy and agriculture through State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai for the academic year 2023-24. The exam will be held at various examination centres within and outside Maharashtra State. MHT CET exam date 2023 for engineering is May 9 to 13, 2023 and for PCB is 15 to 20, 2023. 

The students seeking admission to first-year engineering and technology degree courses mandatorily must appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The students looking for admission to first-year Pharmacy or Pharm.D degree course should appear for Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematics and/or Biology. 

Students who would require a scribe to write the exam on behalf of them due to permanent or temporary physical disability or learning disability will be given 20 minutes of compensatory time per hour of examination. For one and half hours duration of the exam, 30 minutes of compensatory time will be given.

Online Computer Based Test (CBT) MHT CET 2023

The exam pattern for MHT CET 2023 is Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will have 4 responses. Students should choose the correct answer out of the 4 options. Students appearing for the MHT CET 2023 exam should be at the exam hall well before the exam begins. Any student who appears at the exam hall after the allotted time will not be allowed to write the exam. Students who write the exam must be able to finish the exam well within the given time. No extra time will be given to the students. No cell phones, calculators, digital watches, alarm clocks, smartwatches or any electronic gadgets will be allowed within the examination hall. Students will also be not allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the examination. 

Students found using any unfair means or cheating in the exam will be debarred from the examination and admission process of MHT CET 2023. 

Registration fees for MHT CET 2023

The registration fees for MHT CET 2023 exam is Rs 800 (plus bank charges) for students of general categories, J&K Migrants and OMS candidates. If you submit the application late, an additional Rs 500 will be added as late fee charges. For reserved category students, the registration fee is Rs 600. 

Admit card

The admit card for MHT CET 2023 is not out yet. The officials mostly will release the admit card ten days prior to the exam, which is scheduled for August 2023. The admit card for MHT CET is mandatory for all students to carry to the exam hall without which the candidate will not be permitted to enter the exam hall or write the exam. When you get your admit card, students are requested to cross-check the name, roll number, date of birth and other details on the admit card. The admit card will be available on the official website of MHT CET 2023. You can download it from the website and take a printout for your reference.

Syllabus

MHT CET Syllabus consists of chapters and topics from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and/or Biology chosen by the student during the registration for the entrance exam. MHT CET 2023 syllabus consists of portions both from your class 11 and 12. All the students writing the CET entrance exam are encouraged to run through the syllabus at least once before the exam. This will help the students understand the exam portions and patterns.
