NCERT Solutions for Class 6 English Poem Chapter 4: Beauty

Beauty is omnipresent. It can be seen, heard and felt. It can be seen in the sunlight, the trees, the birds and the growing corn and is also visible in the working people or among those people who dance for their harvest and that is what the poet talks about. That there is beauty in everything, even in the small things we do or that exist around us in the environment and everything has its importance and uniqueness, which sets it apart from the others. The poem also talks about how beauty can also be heard or felt. For example, when night falls, when the wind blows slowly, in the sound of rainfall or when a singer sings.
They make us feel pleasured and make us feel happy and also says that beauty is not only outside but also within through our dreams and work which gives us the motivation and zeal to move forward in life and develop an attitude towards life as well and ends with saying that everything is beautiful, we just need to feel it that way.

  • The poem teaches the idea of how we should look at the world and towards ourselves and other people and understand that everyone and everything is beautiful that is around us, and therefore we should feel happy to live around such beautiful things that exist between us
  • Explains how we should appreciate the world and take care of it to keep it beautiful.
