For this section, there will be one Question Paper that will have 75 questions out of which 60 questions need to be attempted. The Question Paper will contain questions from these topics: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration/statistics taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
The CUET Chemistry syllabus includes topics such as - Polymers, Solid State, Solutions, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-block elements, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, d and f block elements, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Electrochemistry.
The CUET Physics syllabus includes topics such as - Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Electromagnetic Waves, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Communication Systems.
The CUET Maths syllabus includes topics such as - Relation and Functions, Algebra, Calculus, Vectors and three-dimensional geometry, Probability, Linear Programming, Numbers, Quantification and Numerical Applications, Index Numbers and Time-Based Data, Linear Programming, Financial Mathematics.

CUET UG Exam Syllabus for Languages (IA & IB)
In this section, there will be one Question Paper that will have 50 questions out of which 40 questions need to be attempted. Q 1. How many questions will be asked in the CUET 2023 Exam?
Answer: A total of 175 questions will be asked in the entrance exam of CUET 2023.
Q 2. What is CUET syllabus for BA programme?
Answer: There is no specific CUET 2023 syllabus for BA as it depends upon the test domain selected by the candidates. For admission to BA courses in some participating universities, there is no need of appearing to domain tests.
Q 3. What is CUET English syllabus for the UG entrance test?
Answer: The CUET English syllabus 2023 will consist MCQ based questions from reading comprehension based on different types of passages–factual, literary, and narrative, literary aptitude, and vocabulary.
Q 4. Does CUET 2023 have negative markings?
Answer: There will be a negative marking in CUET 2023 Exam. Each correct answer will allot 5 marks while every incorrect answer will lose 01 mark. Questions left unattempted by candidates will not be assessed and considered for the preparation of the final CUET merit list.
Q 5. What is the pass mark for CUET?
Answer: The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized university or board with at least 45% marks in any stream.
Q6. Does CUET include Class 11 syllabus?
Answer: As per the CUET syllabus released by the NTA, the questions may come from the topics of Class 11 and Class 12. The detailed syllabus for each subject is provided above for the reference of candidates.
Q7. Why should I sit for CUET UG exam 2023?
Answer: CUET UG is to be conducted for admissions to UG courses of the participating Central Universities for the academic year 2023-24. This way students will have to sit for one exam even when he/she is willing to apply in multiple universities.

Answer: The questions in the CUET exam will mostly be from the syllabus provided by the NTA on the official website of the CUET exam. Candidates should know that the CUET exam syllabus has been prepared keeping in mind the syllabus of class 11th and class 12th, therefore, questions might come from those topics too.
