MHT CET Syllabus 2023

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has released the MHT CET 2023 syllabus. MHT CET 2023 syllabus includes 20% of questions from class 11 and 80% of questions from the class 12 syllabus. The MHT CET 2023 will be a computer-based online exam. While the exam dates have not yet been announced, the tentative timeline for the exam is scheduled for the first week of August. Students who are aspiring to get into an engineering or pharmacy college in Maharashtra for their undergraduate has to write this MHT CET 2023 exam. The syllabus for MHT CET 2023 is available on the official website. Students who are preparing for the entrance exam will have to go through the syllabus thoroughly to crack MHT CET 2023 in the first attempt itself. The MHT CET syllabus contains section-wise topics for the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. It is important for students to go through the syllabus as it will give them an idea about the marking scheme, question paper pattern, and important topics to cover.

Examination Scheme of MHT CET 2023

The candidates will have a choice of appearing in any one or both examinations - PCM and/or PCB. The option once opted will not be altered later under any condition. Also, students please note that the marks obtained in a particular group will not be transferred to another group. The syllabus for MHT CET 2022 exam is prepared by the Director, of Technical Education. All the questions for the subjects Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Biology will be based on the Syllabus of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. About 20% of questions will be from the class 11 curriculum and 80% of questions will be from the class 12 curriculum. There will be no negative marking for the MHT CET 2023 exam. However, the difficulty level of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be at the same level as JEE and the difficulty level for Biology will be the same as the NEET entrance exam.

Marking scheme MHT CET 2023

MHT CET 2023 will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions. Each paper will be for 100 marks.

For Class 12, the questions will come from the whole syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics subjects except for the portion which was deleted by Maharashtra Rajya Pathyapustak Nirmiti va Abhyaskram Sanshodhan Mandal for HSC Examination due to the pandemic situation. Ques.1- What is the syllabus for MHT CET 2023 exam?
Ans.- MHT CET 2023 syllabus includes 20% of questions from class 11 and 80% of questions from the class 12 syllabus. From class 12, students will have to go through the entire syllabus while only some topics from class 11 will be covered in the MHT CET 2023 exam.

Ques.2- Can I interchange my marks if I appear for both PCM AND PCB exams?
Ans.- The Percentage score of Physics or Chemistry will not be interchanged among the groups for students appearing for both the groups, PCM and PCB. No negative marking will be given for wrong answers.

Ques.3- How difficult is it to crack MHT CET 2023 exam?
Ans.- If a student studies thoroughly for the MHT CET 2023 exam, he/she will be able to crack the exam with flying colours. However, the difficulty level of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be at the same level as JEE and the difficulty level for Biology will be the same as the NEET entrance exam.

Ques.4- What are the mandatory subjects for students seeking admission to first-year engineering or Pharmacy course?
Ans.- For students seeking admission to first-year Engineering courses, it is mandatory to appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and for those students seeking admission to first-year Pharmacy or Pharm. D degree course, it is mandatory to take Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematics and/or Biology exam.
