1800-102-2727The story depicts an old man named Abbu Khan, who lived in Almora. He had a great love for goats and had them as pets. He safeguarded his pets and named them funny names. At night, Abbu khan used to take his goats for grazing. The goats were fed with the best of grass and grains by him. Despite being taken care of, the goats would try to get out of their huts, and once they left the huts, they got killed by a wolf in the woods.
Abbu Khan was unable to accept the death of his goats. He was very depressed about losing his pets, and he couldn't prevent his goats from dying, so he decided that he would no longer keep goats as pets along with him.
To get off from the depression, Abbu Khan bought a pretty young goat for himself. He decided that her name would be Chandni due to its white colour, which was like snow. As the years went by, he was confident that Chandni would never leave him, and he warned Chadni about the evil wolf in the woods. But Chadni needed freedom and wanted to explore the hills. To safeguard her, Abbu Khan had pushed her inside the hut, but she left the hut. Chandni felt very happy after seeing the hills.
Furthermore, she felt as though the hills were welcoming her, and she embraced her freedom. As the dark appeared, she was a bit scared and confused about getting back home. She was able to meet the wolf and decided to fight with the wolf to save her life even though she was weaker than the wolf. Chandni fought with all her strength, and this fight went on till dawn when the sound of morning prayer came from a nearby mosque. At the end of the fight, Chandni was killed by the wolf, and a wise bird who had seen the fight declared Chandni as the real winner of the fight.
