  • Public facilities are defined as institutional responses to basic human needs, such as health, electricity, public transport, education, safety, recreation, and worship.
  • Water right entitles everyone to be sufficient, safe, acceptable, physically accessible, and affordable water for personal and domestic use.
  • Examples and case studies have been presented to explain the consequences of this basic public facility's mismanagement.
  • The Constitution of India recognises the right to water as being a part of the Right to Life under Article 21.
  • The shortage of water has led to opportunities for private companies to achieve an economic gain in a developing country like ours.
  • The government is morally obligated to play an active role in providing adequate health facilities. It should be available for the entire population.
