iacst-2022

The subject of the entire chapter is to deal with different sources of energy. Science chapter 14 sources of energy explains energy and its varied sources. Energy is extremely important in our lives because it provides warmth, increases efficiency, and allows us to live our lives as we wish. The three very basic requirement for the source of energy or a good quality fuel is as follows:

  • It should produce a lot of energy per unit of mass.
  • It should be simple to transport and store.
  • It should be inexpensive.

Conventional and Non-Conventional energy are the two main types of energyies:

Conventional sources are those that have been used for a long time, such as coal, wood, and wind. Non-conventional sources include the sun, waves, and other sources that have only recently begun to be used. Renewable sources of energy are those source which gets replenished rapidly or have an infinite supply, and thus can be relied on over a long period of time. Sun, wind, wood, and waves are examples of such energy resources. Non-renewable sources with a finite supply that is likely to run out at some stage. Coal, petrol, and other such energy resources are examples.

Further Science Chapter 14 Sources Of Energy deals with types of conventional energy and non-conventional energy. The chapter elaborates on the importance and the current usage of each source of energy.
