The Vellore Institute of Technology releases its eligibility guidelines every year on the official website, viteee.vit.ac.in. It is released in a PDF form along with an official notification. - Indian Nationals, NRIs, PIOs, and OCIs are eligible to apply. - Foreign candidates can apply through the Foreign Category only. - Candidates from regular, full-time schooling are eligible (NIOS candidates with proper certification are also allowed). |

- Candidates born on or after 1 July 2003 are eligible. - Date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / Class X certificate will be considered authentic. - Original proof of age must be produced during counselling/admission. |

- Applicants must have either passed or be appearing for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2025. - Those who have completed Class 12 earlier than 2023 are not eligible. |

- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. - Only those from recognised boards (State, CBSE, ICSE, or equivalent international boards like IB/A-level) are accepted. - A bridge course in Mathematics may be required for Biology students opting for certain engineering streams. |
