RS Aggarwal Solutions for Class 6 Maths Chapter 15: Polygons

RS Aggarwal, 6th Grade Math Chapter 15 is a conceptual chapter that requires patience and practice and the help of a skilled teacher's explanation, which may be found in the RS Aggarwal Solutions for Class 6 Maths.

Here we will learn about the polygon, its types and its properties. A figure with a minimum of three sides and is made up of line segments is known as the polygon. There are many kinds of polygons around us. The simplest one is the triangle.

In the first section of the chapter, we will learn about triangles and their types. Obtuse triangle, acute triangle and right-angled triangle are the classifications of triangles based on the angles that are crucial in their construction. Triangles can also be equilateral triangles, isosceles triangles and scalene triangles.

The next section of the chapter talks about the quadrilaterals (they have four sides). We can come across several types of quadrilaterals depending upon the angles and length of their sides. For example, kites, Rhombus, Trapezium, Square, Rectangle and parallelogram are quadrilaterals.

There are few other polygons except triangles and quadrilaterals, namely pentagons, which have 5 sides, hexagons with six sides, heptagons with seven sides, etc. Polygons can be regular (when all the angles are either acute, obtuse or right angle but the sides are equal), they can be irregular, and polygons can also have reflex angles. There are questions based on these principles in the exercises, and the students need to practice to learn the chapter fully. These core concepts are critical in the academic journey of mathematics, and the concepts learnt in the lower classes are crucial to understanding the chapters in higher grades.
