The chapter further talks about a ray that can also be constructed from a given line on the desired angle. Dividers are the most basic tools used to draw line segments with an accurate measure. It is used to mark the distances, and it is also capable of measuring the lengths.

The ending portion of the chapter contains an important discussion on a compass and a divider. There is a significant difference between a compass and a divider in practice. In the case of a compass, a sharp point and a holder hold the pencil. The divider has two sharp points, one point is placed at the centre, and the other is used to mark the given measurement.
