The PGIMER Exam 2027 refers to the computer-based entrance tests that PGIMER Chandigarh conducts for its nursing courses. Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) and Overview

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, conducts its own entrance tests for BSc Nursing (4 Years), BSc Nursing (Post Basic) and MSc Nursing. Admission to its MD, MS, MDS, DM and MCh courses is through INI-CET, which is conducted by AIIMS New Delhi. PGIMER 2027 Latest Updates 

• INI-CET January 2027 (for MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh seats at PGIMER Chandigarh and other INIs): online registration runs from 16 September to 13 October 2026 (5:00 PM). Admit cards will be uploaded on 26 October 2026, and the exam is on 1 November 2026.
• PGIMER BSc Nursing (4 Years) and BSc Nursing (Post Basic) 2026: the computer-based entrance test was held on 24 July 2026 for 93 and 62 seats respectively. Counselling was scheduled for 13–14 August 2026 (Post Basic) and 17–18 August 2026 (4 Years).
• PGIMER MSc Nursing 2026: the computer-based entrance test was held on 31 May 2026 for 31 seats.
• PGIMER has not yet released the 2027 nursing admission notices. Based on the 2026 cycle, the MSc Nursing notice is expected around April 2027 and the BSc Nursing notice around May–June 2027.

PGIMER Exam Dates 2027: When Will the Nursing Tests Be Held?

The PGIMER BSc Nursing exam 2027 is expected in the last week of July 2027. The MSc Nursing exam is expected in late May or early June 2027. The PGIMER application process is totally online. All the candidates who want to apply for any of the courses conducted by PGI Chandigarh can register online and pay the fee. Given here is the procedure for doing the same:

Get the printout of the form and pay the fee by Challan form (Triplicate) in any SBI branch in the name of "Power Jyoti" PUL current account of PGIMER. PGIMER Registration 2027

PGIMER registration 2027 has not opened yet. In 2026, BSc Nursing registration ran from 1 June to 30 June 2026. MSc Nursing registration ran from 13 April to 9 May 2026, with a correction window on 10 May 2026. Similar windows are expected in 2027. PGIMER Eligibility Criteria 

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology/ Biotechnology from a recognised board.
• For SC, ST, and other reserved categories, the minimum required percentage marks is 45% in aggregate.
• The age limit for PGIMER UG Admissions is between 17 - 25 years.
• For BSc Nursing (Post Basic), the candidate must have completed 10+2 along with 50% marks in General Nursing and Midwifery and must be a registered nurse or midwife.

PGIMER Exam Pattern Overview

• Mode of Exam: PGIMER BSc Nursing 2027 is expected to be held as a Computer-Based Test, as in 2026. The candidates will be allotted a computer system at the assigned exam centre. Each candidate will be provided with a login ID and password to log in to the test. All answers will be saved automatically on the system during the test.
• Marking Scheme: The question paper is a total of 100 marks.1 mark will be awarded for each correct response.0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response. Marks will not be given or deducted for questions not attempted.
• Exam Duration: The exam duration is 90 minutes. Candidates are required to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the exam centre.
