JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling Schedule and Seat Allotment Important Dates

The authority responsible for the joint seat allocation process for admissions to 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 Other GFTIs is JoSAA. The counselling process for admissions in these 107 institutes will be conducted online in six rounds. JEE Advanced 2022 is the common platform for admission and a candidate must qualify the exam for the same.

JEE Advanced Counselling and Seat Allotment 2023 Process

The candidates who qualify JEE Advanced will be able to register for JEE Advanced counselling and the seat allotment process to be conducted by JoSAA. Candidates can follow the given steps to participate in the JEE Advanced 2022 counselling process.

JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling: Steps to Follow

Candidates can follow these steps for the JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling:

1. Candidates will need to first register for the JEE Advanced 2023 counselling and seat allotment. Students can use their JEE Main roll number and JEE Advanced password as credentials to log in.
2. Once the candidates register, they will be asked to select their preferred college and courses from the available options and submit it.
3. Mock seat allotment will be conducted for candidates based on the choices they made. Candidates will be allowed to change their choices after mock allotment. Seats will be allotted to students as per their merit, preferred choices, category, and availability.
4. After the seat allotment process, candidates will have to download their allotment letter and have to pay the seat acceptance fee. Required documents will also be needed to be carried to the respective centres for verification.

JEE Advanced 2023 Seat Allotment: Important Points

• Students will have to log in using the Registration No (User ID), JEE Advanced 2022 Roll No, and Password to check seat allotment status.
• Students should check their status of Seat Allotment at the end of every round as it may change due to upgradation by the authority.
• The soft copy of the category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) certificates uploaded at the time of online registration will be scrutinized against originals during seat allocation
• If the certificates uploaded are found to be inappropriate, the student will be treated as General only if their score in the Paper-1 of JEE Main is above the cutoff score for the General category.

• Proof of Date of Birth: Class X/HSC/Birth Certificate/Any other certificate as proof of date of birth

• Proof of seat acceptance fee payment
• Two passport size photograph
• Category Certificate (OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/DS) issued by the competent authority
