NCERT Solutions for Class 6 Math Chapter 1: Knowing our Numbers

This chapter introduces the students to the larger numbers, their representation, arrangement, and other important aspects associated with them.   The use of commas differs in the Indian System of Numeration and the International System of Numeration. In the Indian system of numeration, there are commas after 3, 5, and 7 digits which separate the thousand, lakh, and crore values respectively. In the International system of numeration, commas are placed after every three digits starting from the right.
• Revisiting place value
  This is the topic which teaches the students about the value of the digit according to its place in a number.
