JEE Main 28 June shift 1 Chemistry Exam Analysis

The National Testing Agency has successfully concluded the JEE Main 2022 28 June shift 1 Chemistry exam. The JEE Mains paper for shift 1 was conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM. A large number of students found the paper to be of a moderate to easy level. The mathematics section was considered to be the most lengthy. A detailed analysis of the paper is given below.

Based on the reactions shared by students and experts, the Chemistry paper was of a moderate to easy difficulty level. The distribution of questions from the three branches was nearly equal. Questions were asked from chapters like Environmental Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday life, & p-block elements. Some of the questions from Physical Chemistry were considered difficult by a few students, and questions from Inorganic Chemistry were of moderate levels As mentioned previously, students with a good understanding of NCERT books should be able to do well in this paper.

Q 1. What is the age limit to appear in JEE Main 2022 Chemistry Exam?
Answer:
There is no age limit for the candidates appearing for JEE Main 2022. The students who have passed the Class 12/ equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE Main 2022 examination.

Q 2. Are students allowed to leave the exam hall if they finish their JEE Main 2022 exam before time?
Answer:
No, candidates are not allowed to leave the exam hall until the exam is over.

Q 3. Does JEE Main 2022 have a negative marking?
Answer:
This year, both Section A (MCQ-based questions) and Section B (Essay questions) have negative markings.

Q 4. When will the JEE Main 2022 Answer Key be released?
Answer:
NTA is likely to release the JEE Main 2022 answer key in the first week of July (Tentatively). NTA will first release the provisional answer key after which it will be open for a certain time for a challenge. After reviewing the challenges, the JEE Main final answer key 2022 will be released.

Q 5. What are the minimum marks required to qualify for JEE Mains?
Answer:
For general category students, a minimum of 75% in aggregate is required and for SC/ST/PWD categories, students must score a minimum aggregate of 65%.
