The college has a lot of scholarships, but most of them are for students from certain groups, like SC, ST, OBC, and those who are having trouble with money. The amount of the scholarship can be very different. Common government scholarships are SSP and NSP. For SC/ST students, scholarships pay for a large part of the tuition, which is usually between INR 60,000 and INR 70,000 a year. Students from OBC can get scholarships worth between INR 18,000 and INR 25,000 each year.
Management quota students usually can't get scholarships. Depending on the type of admission, the tuition fees are different. For example, KCET students pay about INR 89,000 a year, while COMED-K students pay about INR 2.3 lakhs a year. Management quota fees can be as much as INR 3 to 6 lakhs a year. FCD is First Class with Honors. Students who get more than 70% of the total marks at VTU are eligible for FCD. Here is a short summary of VTU's grading system.
Students who get more than 70% are given a distinction for their academic excellence.
It is the average of the total marks from the last four semesters. If you fail any of the subjects, getting a Gold medal becomes a dream.
It's not impossible to win a gold medal. Read two or three more books, study all year, and learn the basic math and engineering concepts. You should also take internal assessments seriously. Be clear about what you want and don't let anything get in your way. You can make your mark if you want to.
Think about these things before you apply:
Choose wisely. Don't believe what you hear; only apply if you're sure.
The total marks aren't very important because they are the passing marks you got in all of your semesters. Don't stress too much about backlogs. After you clear them, figure out your marks.
Different universities have different ways of figuring out your degree percentage. VTU will use your grades from the 5th to the 8th semester to figure out your score and put it on your degree.
But the good news is that you should say your overall percentage, which is your real percentage, outside of VTU.
If your college is affiliated, all you have to do is fill out the migration application form on the VTU website and give all the information it asks for.
In the last line forwarded to the VTU registrar ”...this is to certify…” You can either ask the academic person at your new college to fill it out.
You can also ask your college for a real certificate or study certificate and send it with the application form and the SBI e-payment fee receipt.
You can get your degree certificate or provisional degree certificate signed by any government official if you show them the original.
Then, send the whole thing by speed post to the registrar at the address on the VTU website.
After they get your letter, they will send the migration certificate to your new college.
