The University of Lucknow conducts a Centralised Admission Process for the 2025-26 academic session, primarily through its online portal.

  • How to Apply: Candidates are supposed to fill out the online admission form, wherein they have to upload documents such as Aadhaar Card, mark sheets, certificates, etc. Forms are usually released in April or May each year. After appearing for university-based entrance exams, the scores of the candidates are evaluated, and based on that, a provisional course-wise merit list is released.
  • Entrance Exams and Selection: Admission is usually completed by counselling as the final step after the entrance-based exams.
    • UG: UGET, UGPET, JEE Main (for B.Tech via UPTAC), AKTU Counselling. 
    • PG: PGET, LUMET (for MBA, followed by an interview), M.Ed Entrance Test.
    • PhD: Selection to the PhD program at Lucknow University is based on merit in an entrance examination followed by an interview. 
    • Direct Admission: Available for vacant and NRI seats in B.Tech and MCA after counselling.
  • Tentative Dates: UG application deadline was extended to 25th June 2025, PG to 30th June 2025. Admit card notifications were issued in early July 2025. There is no maximum age limit for applying.
