About Periyar University: Overview

Named after the Indian social reformer Periyar E. V. Ramasamy, this university was founded by the state government of Tamil Nadu in 1997. The public state university is located in the Salem district in Tamil Nadu, and has its main campus extending over 95.48 acres.

Being the first State University to be accredited A++ by NAAC in December 2021, Periyar University is a highly regarded university providing UG, PG and Doctorate level higher education programs across the disciplines of Science, Management, Design and Arts.

Scholarships and Financial Aid at Periyar University
