About Kerala University: Overview

The University of Kerala (Kerala University) was founded in 1937 as a public state university. It has the highest NAAC "A++" accreditation with a CGPA of 3.67, up to June 2027. Kerala University Admission Process

Kerala University admissions are merit and entrance-based. Admission into the majority of the UG courses is through the Centralised Allotment Process. The university has a PG Entrance Exam for the PG courses. 

Kerala University admission to all the UG programmes (except BPEd, BFA, and BPA) is completed on the basis of class 12 marks. In contrast, admission to PG programmes is completed on the basis of respective entrance exams. The university also has an entrance test for admission to MA, MSc, MSW, etc.

Scholarships & Financial Aid at Kerala University

  • Kerala University provides need-based and merit-based scholarships to students.
  • It offers the Students' Aid Fund Scholarship to students with an annual family income of less than Rs. 25,000. Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 1,000 are offered to PG and UG programme students, respectively.
  • Besides, the University of Kerala also provides merit-based scholarships to students who are pursuing MSc, MA, MCom, MBA, and MCJ. This scholarship is provided for matriculated students who have successfully passed their first-class bachelor's degree in the University exam. Under this merit-based scholarship scheme, the amount of Rs. 3,000 is provided per year.
