The Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) is a Deemed to be University. It used to be called Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering, which opened in 1984. The institution is in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, and was set up by the "Kalasalingam and Anandam Ammal Charities" trust. The NAAC gives Kalasalingam University, Madurai, an A++ grade.
