About Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University: Overview

On October 2, 1972, the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly established Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad. It was India’s inaugural Technological University. For 44 years, it has ranked first for delivering high-quality, relevant technology education in the State of Andhra Pradesh. After 36 years of operation, the government divided it into four separate universities. The JNTUH campus spans 89 acres and is situated in Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
