Chitkara University Admission Process
Admissions in Chitkara University are done in both online and offline modes.
How to Apply:
- Candidates are required to complete the application form after appearing for the relevant entrance exam. Form can be submitted both online and offline.
- After the application process, students are then shortlisted based on their entrance exam results. The university then conducts group discussions and personal interview rounds for some of the programmes.
- On the basis of the merit of students, the university then allocates the seats to suitable candidates as per seat availability and the eligibility criteria of the course.
- To secure their seat, the shortlisted candidate then has to proceed with their document verification and course fee payment at the time of counselling. Payment can be made either through demand drafts or cash.
Entrance Exams and Selection:
- UG: JEE Mains, CUET, NATA (for B.Tech and BArch), UCEED (for BDes), CUDAT (for BSc, BFA, etc.), PET, SAT scores are accepted. (45-60% in 10+2 from a recognised board is also necessary in most of the courses)
- PG: CAT, CMAT. MAT, XAT, and NMAT scores are accepted for MBA and for the rest of the courses, admission is done on the basis of university entrance exam and personal interviews/ group discussions. Different courses do have different thresholds for the graduation scores, usually between the range of 50-60%.
- PhD: CSIR-NET, GPAT, and UGC-NET scores are accepted. It is also required that the candidates have a Master's degree with at least 60% (for the reserved category, 55%).
Important Dates:
- MBA 2025: Registration for NMAT 2025 will begin from August 1 - October 10, 2025; the exams are scheduled between November 5 - December 19.
- MBA/PGDM admission: Apply for XAT 2026 by December 5, 2025. The exams are scheduled for January 4, 2026.
