Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) is a private deemed university located in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. BITS Pilani Fees Structure 2025

BITS Pilani Admission Process

Admission to Integrated First Degree (FD) programmes such as BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc. is handled by BITS Pilani through the Board Topper's Scheme (BITSAT), the International Students' Scheme, and the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy's Scheme. All of these programmes have the following admissions procedures and selection standards:

• Through BITSAT: BITS Pilani conducts the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT), an all-India level entrance exam, for admission to its first-degree programmes such as B.E., B.Pharm, and M.Sc. Admission to these programmes is based on the candidate’s performance in BITSAT.
• Toppers on the Board: Regardless of their BITSAT score, the Institute will directly admit first-ranking students from all central and state boards to the programme of their choice. While the top-ranked student in the PCB stream will only be considered for admission to the B.Pharm programme, the top-ranked student in the PCM stream will be considered for admission to any first degree programme of their choosing.
• Admission for International Students: Applicants who possess a valid Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) score and a foreign passport may apply for admission without a BITSAT score. A minimum total score of 1160 (out of 1600) on the SAT is required of candidates.
• The Higher Education Academy of BITS-RMIT: The BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy Mode is another option for applicants who took the BITSAT. These applicants will be granted two degrees from BITS Pilani and RMIT Australia, which will be granted concurrently and independently.

The admissions process for BITS Pilani is done online. The university's national entrance exams determine admission to undergraduate and graduate programmes. The release of the application forms typically marks the start of the admissions process. In order to be admitted, candidates must register for counselling based on their entrance score.

The BITS Pilani Placements 2025 report is still in progress and has not yet been made public. But according to the 2024 NIRF placement report, the median package for 4-year undergraduate programmes was INR 18 LPA. 2458 pupils in all were assigned. Furthermore, since placements are still ongoing, the highest package obtained thus far for the MBA programme at BITS Pilani in 2025 is INR 21.6 LPA. The placement drive attracted more than 250 recruiters. Scholarships and Financial Aid at BITS Pilani

Students at the BITS Pilani have access to numerous financial aid options, including merit-cum-need awards and the institute's scholarships and fellowships. Approximately 25% of students receive financial aid of some kind prior to being admitted. Future Leaders Scholarship: Students enrolled in the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy may apply for the RMIT Future Leadership Scholarship for courses taught at RMIT Australia. For courses taught at RMIT in Melbourne, the scholarship entitles recipients to a 20% tuition fee reduction for the duration of the program specified in the offer letter.
