About Bharath University (BIHER): Overview

Originally founded as Bharat Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) in 1984, it was one of the first autonomous engineering colleges in India. Upon receiving the ‘deemed university’ status by UGC in 2002, the institution changed the name to Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER).
