OJEE Full Form and Overview

OJEE full form is Odisha Joint Entrance Examination. It is the state-level exam conducted once a year for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate level professional courses in the state of Odisha. The OJEE for the session allows candidates to take admission in universities, government colleges and self-financed institutions in the state. 

There is also a 2nd OJEE or a special OJEE. This exam is conducted by the OJEE Cell and allows students to take the exam who were not able to appear for the first OJEE exam. Both of these exams are conducted for multiple branches. OJEE 2027 Latest Updates

The OJEE 2026 cycle is complete. The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Committee held the main exam in CBT mode from May 4 to May 10, 2026, and the 2nd/Special OJEE from July 13 to July 15, 2026. The official OJEE 2027 notification has not been released yet.

The official schedule for OJEE 2027 is yet to be released. Based on previous year trends, applications are likely to open in late January 2027, with the exam expected in the first half of May 2027.

When Is the OJEE 2027 Exam?

OJEE Application Process

The OJEE application process for candidates is as follows: 

• Register for OJEE: Candidates must visit the official website to register for the exam. Then they must fill in the details in the application form and complete the process as stated on the website. The application process will also include document upload and fee submission, which vary depending on the number of choices of course. The fee submission can be made online or offline. 
• Download admit card: Remain updated by visiting the website and download the OJEE admit card when it is provided by the exam committee. Check the admit card for details like name, date of birth and other information and immediately report the discrepancies (if any) to the OJEE cell. 
• Appear for the exam: Carefully read the instructions on the OJEE admit card and take the exam following those instructions. Accustom yourself beforehand to the CBT mode of the exam with proper practice.

OJEE Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for OJEE vary depending on the choice of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The basic and minimum requirements are as follows: 

• The candidate should have completed class 12 from a recognised board to be eligible for admission to undergraduate courses 
• The candidate should have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university in a relevant discipline to be eligible for admission to postgraduate courses. 
• The candidate must have completed a diploma or bachelor’s degree from a relevant stream to be eligible for admission to lateral entry courses. 
• For Basic B.Sc. Nursing, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with at least 45% in PCB (40% for SC/ST). The candidate must also be at least 17 years old as on December 31 of the admission year and be a domicile of Odisha, as per the last year OJEE 2026 brochure. 

OJEE Exam Pattern Overview

The question paper comprises multiple-choice questions. For non-nursing courses, a correct answer earns four marks and each wrong answer leads to a deduction of one mark. OJEE Admit Card 2027

The OJEE 2027 admit card is expected in the last week of April 2027. In the 2026 cycle, the OJEE Committee released admit cards from April 25, 2026, more than a week before the exam. The admit card is generated only for candidates who complete registration and pay the application fee. 

Candidates must download two copies of the admit card. The invigilator signs both copies on exam day. One copy is submitted in the exam hall, and the candidate keeps the other until final admission.

OJEE Result 2027

OJEE Cut Off 2027

OJEE has no minimum qualifying marks for most courses, so the cut-off works as opening and closing ranks rather than a fixed score. The OJEE 2027 cut-off will be known only after the 2027 counselling rounds. Until then, the previous year's closing ranks are the best reference.
