NEET (UG) 2026 Result Declared!
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET (UG) 2026 result today, 16 July 2026 — ahead of the earlier expected date of 20 July, keeping the medical admission and counselling calendar on track.
Close to 20 lakh candidates appeared for NEET (UG) 2026 on 21 June 2026 across 5,440 centres in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. Of these, 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH, and allied programmes.

About NEET 2026
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is one of the most competitive entrance examinations in India, conducted to assess the readiness of aspiring medical students for undergraduate admission. Candidates who clear NEET with strong scores gain admission to some of the most prestigious medical, dental, and AYUSH colleges in the country. NEET is conducted in pen-and-paper (OMR-based) mode.
This year, following a re-examination, NTA conducted the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam on 21 June 2026, and declared the result on 16 July 2026 — well within the revised timeline.

How to Check NEET 2026 Result
Follow these steps to download your NEET-UG Result 2026:
- Visit the official NTA website: neet.ntaonline.in/frontend/web/scorecard/index
- Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and Password/Security Pin.
- Click the Submit button.
- You will be redirected to a new window displaying your NEET 2026 result.
- Download your scorecard and take a printout — it is required for NEET counselling and admission.
Your scorecard will display subject-wise marks (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), total score out of 720, overall percentile, All India Rank (AIR), category rank, and qualifying status.
Key Highlights of NEET 2026 Result
- Candidates appeared: ~20 lakh

- Women candidates: More than 58% of all qualified candidates are women; women qualified at a slightly higher rate (56.8%) than men (55.1%)

NEET 2026 Cut Off
NEET cut-off is declared as a qualifying percentile, fixed by regulation, while the actual marks corresponding to it vary each year based on difficulty level and candidate performance. For NEET 2026:

The top 17 rankers — all scoring above 705 marks — come from eight States: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana.
138 candidates scored above 690 marks, from 66 cities across the country. Of these:
- Over 93% were first-time NEET candidates
- 99% were aged between 17 and 19
Tie-Breaking Criteria for All India Rank
Where two or more candidates score identical total marks, NTA applies rank determination in this order:
- Higher marks in Biology (Botany + Zoology)
- Higher marks in Chemistry
- Higher marks in Physics
- Fewer incorrect attempts relative to correct answers in Physics
- If still tied, resolution through a random process overseen by an independent expert committee
What's Next: NEET 2026 Counselling
NTA's role ends at declaring the result, issuing the All India Rank, and publishing merit/category lists. NTA does not conduct counselling.
