NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 10: Practical Geometry

Geometry means playing with shapes. In this chapter, you will learn about constructing various figures in geometry. In Ex 10.1, you will know about constructing a line parallel to a given line through a point, not on the line. In Ex 10.2, students will learn how to construct a triangle when the length of its three sides are known. Side-Side-Side (SSS criterion). Ex 10.3 will teach you how to construct a triangle when the length of two sides and the measure of the angle between them is given. Side-Angle-Side (SAS criterion).

In Ex 10.4, You will learn how to construct a triangle when two of its angles and side included between them is given. Angel-Side-Angle(ASA criterion). In Ex 10.5, you will learn to construct a Right-angled triangle where one leg's length and its hypotenuse are given. Right-hand-sided (RHS criterion). The main topics of this chapter are:

  • Construction of parallel line
  • Construction of Triangle
  • Construction of triangle when the length of its three sides are known [sss]
  • Construction of triangle when the length of two sides and measure of the angle between them is given [sas]
  • Construction of triangle when the measure of two of its angle and length of side inclined between them is given [asa]
  • Construction of a right-angled triangle in the condition when the length of one leg and hypotenuse are given [rhs]
