MET Exam Pattern

The official authorities have released the MET exam pattern 2025 on the official website, manipal.edu. Students need to understand the exam pattern thoroughly to understand how the exam is conducted, the marking scheme, number of questions asked, and the marking scheme. This facilitates the exam preparation process.

MET Exam Mode

The MET is a computer-based test. Candidates will be provided with a computer system along with a unique login ID and password at the designated test centre for taking the exam. During the exam, all your answers will be automatically recorded and saved on the system, so you do not need to worry about losing the responses.

MET Exam Duration

The exam duration is 120 minutes [2 hours]. Candidates must ensure that they record their responses within this duration. Besides that, it is advisable to reach the exam centre 30 minutes prior.

MET Marking Scheme and Distribution 

The MET question paper is of 240 marks. The paper consists of 60 questions, and the question paper language medium is English. Further, students can expect multiple-choice questions, MCQs and numerical answer type, NAT. With regards to the marking scheme, for both MCQs and NATs, four marks will be awarded for every correct response. In case of a wrong response, there is a one mark deduction for MCQs and no negative marking for NATs.
