KEAM 2025 Eligibility

In April of 2025, the entrance exam for KEAM 2025 was administered by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE). A computer-based test was available, and candidates could take the exam in multiple shifts. Before applying, students should have verified whether they met the eligibility requirements for KEAM 2025. 

Eligibility for KEAM for Engineering Courses

The KEAM 2025 eligibility for engineering courses:

  • Candidates are required to have successfully completed the Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala or its equivalent. 
  • Physics and Mathematics should be completed and passed compulsorily.
  • Chemistry should be included as one of the optional subjects.
  • Candidates should secure a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in these subjects.
  • In the absence of Chemistry, Computer Science marks will be taken into consideration.
  • In the absence of Chemistry and Computer Science, Biotechnology marks will be taken into consideration.
  • In the absence of Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biotechnology, Biology marks will be taken into consideration.
  • Eligibility requirements will be determined based on marks issued in the official mark sheet of the respective Higher Secondary Board.

KEAM Eligibility for Architecture Courses

The eligibility requirements for Architecture courses are listed as follows:

  • Applicants need to have completed the Higher Secondary Examination in Kerala or an equivalent examination. 
  • Applicants must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Applicants with 10+3 Diplomas with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible. 
  • Candidates are eligible for B.Arch admissions only if they have qualified the minimum eligibility marks for NATA 2025.
  • No category of candidates will be allowed a relaxation of the minimum NATA score.

KEAM Eligibility for Medical & Medical Allied Courses

Eligibility for admission to MBBS, BDS,  BAMS/ BHMS Courses

  • Applicants are required to pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English separately in the Higher Secondary Examination (Kerala) or an equivalent examination. 
  • The minimum aggregate for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology should be 50%.

Eligibility for admission to BSMS course

  • Applicants need to have individually cleared Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in the Higher Secondary Examination as per Kerala Board, or an equivalent examination. 
  • A minimum of 50% of the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is compulsory. 
  • Applicants must have completed Tamil in the 10th or 12th Standard.
  • In the absence of earlier studies of Tamil, the candidate needs to clear a Tamil language course in the first year of the BSMS professional degree.

Eligibility for admission to the BUMS course

  • Applicants should have qualified Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English separately in the Kerala Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent.
  • They are required to have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Candidates must have studied Urdu, Arabic, or Persian in the 10th or 12th standard or must have passed the Urdu test issued either by the University, the Board, or a government-registered society.
  • Such candidates, who have not studied Urdu, Arabic, or Persian earlier, shall be required to read Urdu along with Arabic and Mantiq Wa Falsafa (Logic & Philosophy) in the first professional year of BUMS.

Eligibility for admission to B.Sc.(Hons.) Agri., B.Sc.(Hons) Forestry, B.Sc (Hons.) Cooperation & Banking, B.Tech Biotechnology (under (KAU), BFSc courses

  • Applicants should have completed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the Higher Secondary Examination (Kerala) or an equivalent examination.
  • They should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Eligibility For admission to B.Sc.(Hons) Climate Change & Environmental Science

  • Applicants should have successfully completed the Higher Secondary Examination (Kerala) or any equivalent examination.
  • They should have an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. 

Eligibility For admission to BVSc. & AH Course

  • The candidate should have studied and passed computer studies in the 12th standard. 
  • Applicants should have successfully completed English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the Higher Secondary Examination (Kerala) or an equivalent examination. 
  • They should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in the mentioned subjects.

Eligibility for B.Pharm Courses

  • Contenders are required to have successfully cleared the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination of the Kerala Board, or an equivalent examination. 
  • English should be a subject in the candidate’s study.
  • Candidates are required to have taken a combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology, as separate subjects.

FAQs 

Q1. Is it possible to apply for KEAM Engineering without Chemistry? 

Answer: No. The candidate must have taken Chemistry along with Physics and Mathematics as optional subjects. 

Q2. For BUMS or BSMS, do we require any particular language? 

Answer: Candidates must have studied Tamil for BSMS or Urdu/Arabic/Persian for BUMS or have to study the language in the first year of the course.

Q3. Is there an age restriction for appearing for KEAM 2025?

Answer: The candidates should be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2025. The courses like MBBS/ BDS follow the NEET age criteria.
