KCET Exam Pattern 2025: Complete Guide for Effective Preparation

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test ( KCET ) represents an important state-level test that students wishing to study an engineering and pharmaceutical course or any of the other professional programs in Karnataka undertake.

Overview of KCET Exam Pattern

It is possible to see a KCET exam pattern that would help the candidates in testing their knowledge in Physics, Chemistry especially in Mathematics with a separate Kannada language test. It is held in an offline format in a pen-and-paper-based system where the responses are keyed in on an OMR sheet.

All questions are summed to 180 in three main topics and each is worth one mark. It is not marked negatively and thus the candidates should not avoid any option. Each paper will have a fixed time, and thus, this will enable specific scrutinizing of arranged subjects in each paper.

  • KCET is organized only on an offline basis (pen and paper mode).
  • Question papers in English and in Kannada are provided in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • The candidates should possess their own pen to mark it on the OMR sheet.
  • Candidates go through a Kannada language exam.
  • The test centers have a policy where nothing electronic can be brought in the hall.

Important Guidelines for KCET Exam
