GPAT Full Form and Overview

GPAT or Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test is an entrance examination conducted online, i.e, a computer-based test. It is conducted for postgraduate or MPharma students across India. The conducting body of the exam is the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences(NBEMS). Nearly 55,000 candidates take the exam every year.

The GPAT scores are accepted by 800 institutes approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). For 2025, the exam will be conducted in two shifts at the designated test centres.

As of July 2025, the GPAT exam was conducted on 25th May 2025, and the final answer key was released by NBEMS at natboard.edu.in. And, on 25th June 2025, the result was released. 

To view the result, the registered candidate should visit the official GPAT website, log in through their application number, password/ date of birth, and enter the security pin.

As it is a national-level exam, the result can be downloaded using the official website.

GPAT Application Process

To apply for the GPAT 2025 exam, follow the step-by-step process, which guides you throughout the application journey:

  • Registration: Visit https://natboard.edu.in and fill out the basic details, and upload the required documents, like a passport-sized photo and the candidate's educational certificates.
  • Fee Payment: If you fall under the General, OBC, and EWS categories, then the fee will be INR 3,500. If you fall under the SC/ST and PWD categories, then the fee will be INR 2,500
  • Payment mode: As it is an online examination, the payment will be made online using credit/ debit cards or any other available online payment methods.
  • Confirmation Page: Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
  • Admit card: Finally, the candidate can download the admit card on 21 May 2025, and the candidate must bring it to the test centre on the date of the exam.
