The Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) is in Lucknow. Its foundation stone was laid on 14 December 1980 by the then President of India, Shri Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, at the King George’s Medical University campus.
