Sawai Man Singh Medical College: Overview

Sawai Man Singh Medical College, established in 1947 as the 15th medical college in India, is affiliated with Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and regulated by the National Medical Commission. Located on a 28-acre campus in Jaipur, it is connected to several large hospitals and offers MBBS, MD/MS, and M.Ch super-speciality courses. The college was recognised by the Medical Council of India in 1952, the same year postgraduate courses began. A new OPD block was planned the following year, and the first batch of MD and MS students graduated in 1955. In the NIRF 2024 rankings, it secured the 43rd position among medical colleges in India.
