About Kasturba Medical College Manipal: Overview

Originally established as a single institution with Kasturba Medical College, Mangaluru, in 1953, KMC, Manipal got separated in 1969.

In 1993, along with other dental surgery colleges in Manipal and Mangalore, these colleges were given the deemed university status in order to form MAHE or Manipal Academy of Higher Education (also known as Manipal University). NAAC has awarded MAHE the grade ‘A++’ status.
